9 Secrets To Clear Beautiful Skin

lifecell skin cream, anti aging cream, best cream review

To stay young and beautiful, it’s important to have good facial care habits and lifestyle.

Here are some easy skin care routines and tips you can follow to get started right now!

  1. Stay away from the soap. For a youthful looking face, and quality products that are right for your skin type. Discuss your home skin-care routine with your aesthetician.
  2. Wear sunscreen. Use a good-quality, high-SPF sunscreen. Sun damage is the single most important cause of premature aging. Look for a product that does not harm sensitive skin.
  3. If you can’t afford all the skin-care products right away, ask the esthetician which are most important to start, and which can be substituted with less expensive alternatives. Invest in additional products as you can.
  4. Get a professional facial to deep cleanse your skin at least four times a year, as the seasons change. Every four to six weeks is ideal.
  5. Begin by taking an inventory of potential natural skin care ingredients available in your cupboards and refrigerator. The most common items include citrus fruits, dairy items, sugar, salt, vinegars, aspirin, eggs, honey, oatmeal, olive oil and tea bags.
  6. Decide on the natural skin care ingredients that best address your skin type and skin care issues. Oil skin types will want to focus on more astringent ingredients such as citrus and exfoliating salt or sugar scrubs while sensitive skin types will want to include more soothing items such as olive oil, dairy products and honey.
  7. Develop a natural skin care routine that incorporates a cleansing, scrub, toning, and moisturizing recipe using the natural ingredients best suited for your skin type. A normal skin type might use a sea salt scrub recipe followed by a lemon juice toner and olive oil based moisturizer.
  8. Start collecting natural skin care recipes and experiment with ingredients to determine which are best suited to address your skin care needs.
  9. Most skin types benefit from regular facial steams and a weekly facial treatment. Try whipping up a 10 minute enriching moisturizing facial mask from an egg, a packet of unflavored gelatin, a squeeze of lemon, and a drizzle of olive oil.

The 5-Step Skincare Regimen

To achieve good looking skin, a conscientious effort to stick to the 5 steps of the regimen is encouraged. Laziness certainly does not go well with radiant skin, unless you are already well-endowed with it!

1. Cleanse

The foremost step of the skincare regimen is to clean the skin, and rid the skin of oil, dirt, make-up and other impurities on it.

For women who wear make-up, it is best to use a make-up remover first, before washing with a cleanser again. Make-up (especially waterproof ones) does not come off with a normal cleanser.

Pick cleansers that are mild and non-irritating to the skin. A good cleanser should not strip your skin of it moisture while working to remove the dirt and oil.

Tip: Work the cleanser into a lather before gently applying to the wet face. Avoid vigorous rubbing and pulling of the skin. Do not over-cleanse as well; twice a day in the morning and at night would be good enough.

2. Tone

A toner helps to remove any leftover traces of dirt and make-up from cleansing. It also helps to tighten the pores and prepare the skin for other products/nutrients applied on the skin for better absorption.

Non alcohol toners are preferred, as they minimize irritation and drying out of the skin.

Tip: Saturate a cotton ball or pad with the toner, and smooth it over the face after cleansing.

3. Moisturize

The most important step in the skincare regimen is to moisturize. Moisturizing regulates sebum production and keeps the skin hydrated, keeping dry patchy skin at bay. With proper moisturizing, wrinkles also become less obvious.

There are many kinds of moisturizers, some richer and more moisturizing than others. It is important to pick one according to your own skin type and needs.

For example, dehydrated skin could do with richer and thicker moisturizers, whereas water-based moisturizers are better suited for oily skin.

Tip: Moisturizers are best absorbed when the face is slightly damp and warm. Apply the moisturizer in gentle upward and outward strokes on the entire face and neck area, massage into the skin.

4. Spot treatments

The skin is now prepped up for spot treatment after moisturizing. Choose creams, lotions and gels according to your skin problems or areas of concern.

One essential treatment is the eye cream. The eye area is very delicate; lack of proper hydration and care for the eye area means even earlier appearance of unsightly wrinkles, eye bags and puffiness.

Other treatment options may include whitening products for overall brightening of skin or reducing appearance of spots and pigmentations; anti-aging products targeted at wrinkles, expression lines or saggy skin.

While the aim is to reduce these problematic areas, do not be over-zealous in applying the products. Less is more.

For newly acquired products, it might be a good idea to a patch test first to see if you may develop any irritation to them.

5. Sun Protection

Exposure to the sun causes about 80 percent of the skin changes associated with aging. So the next time you step out of the house, do not forget your sunscreen! In fact, you should apply sunscreen even when indoors, as sun rays can still peep through the windows and curtains.

For effective protection, there are two factors to consider: UVA protection and UVB protection.

Buy sunscreen that has at least Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of 30, for protection against UVB rays. Also, look out for PA+, PA++ protection against UVA rays.

Tip: Look out for sunscreen with ingredients like Aloe Vera, Vitamin E or antioxidants, for added benefit! Oil-free sunscreen is also available if you are uncomfortable with the ’shine’ that some sunscreen give. Or simply apply some loose powder to cover the shine!

Apply liberally at least 15 minutes before sun exposure, to the face and neck.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 in LifeCellskin

2163221_53745801One of the other promising good-looking ingredients in LifeCellskin is Acetyl Hexapeptide-3. It is a non-toxic amino-peptide that is fast earning its place in the area of anti-aging treatments.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters that initiate and control the intensity of muscular contractions of the face. Applying Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 to the face reduces facial tensions, and hence reduces facial lines and wrinkles.

With continued use, the appearance of existing lines and wrinkles improve. Formation of new lines and wrinkles can also be prevented.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 versus Botox

The action of Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 remotely resembles that of Botox, which works by paralyzing the facial muscles so facial tension and movement is limited. On the other hand, Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 merely relaxes the muscles.

As compared to Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, Botox is a more invasive procedure, and also more expensive. It is usually just targeted at one area of the face, for example between the brows, the eye and lip areas. Repeated injections are needed when the paralyzing effect of Botox disappears.

On the contrary, products containing Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (e.g. LifeCellskin) can be applied to the entire face continuously.

The Importance of Moisturizers

570954_waterdropWe ALL need moisturizers, regardless of our skin type or skin condition. As we get older, our skin is more prone to dryness, due to fall in sebum production and increased water loss. A moisturizer, such as LifeCellskin helps to quench and hydrate the skin, leaving it fresh and supple.

Moisturizers now have added functions combined into them. Besides providing hydration for the skin, they can also whiten the skin or incorporate anti-aging ingredients to revitalize the skin.

It is important to have a regular regimen to keep the skin hydrated – use a moisturizer daily. In fact, it is advised to moisturize twice a day or more, depending on how dry our skin is.

How to choose a moisturizer? Consider what our skincare concern is at the moment, and also our skin texture. For aging and drier skins, richer cream (e.g. LifeCellskin) and thick lotions work best. Using the right moisturizer helps creates balance within the skin and keeps it feeling comfortable.

Skin Care Tips for Mature Skin

As we age, our skin also starts to mature. The skin becomes dull, loses its elasticity, and not to mention the appearance of lines and wrinkles. However, we can and we should, put in our efforts to delay the onset of these troubling skin signs.

Obviously, one cannot afford to be lazy if you are looking to having better skin. Not only does the skin care matters, so do your diet and lifestyle.

  1. Skin Care

banner22aA lot of attention goes into protecting and revitalizing the mature skin. A mild cleanser should be preferred to deodorant soaps to avoid irritating the skin. Alcohol based toners are best avoided as well.

The one step one should never miss is to MOISTURIZE. Applying moisturizer helps to keep the balance of moisture of the skin (dry skin tends to mature faster than other skin types). It also helps the skin to look supple.

Remember to apply an eye-cream to moisturize the delicate eye area too.

If one is heading outdoors, do not forget the SUNSCREEN. Ultra-violet rays of the sun can be extremely damaging to the skin, and exposure to them is the main cause of the fine lines and wrinkles.

So, make the effort to apply sunscreen 15 minutes before sun exposure. Choose broad spectrum sunscreen to protect against UVA and UVB, as well as SPF factor of at least 15.

There are many remedies for aging skin, including serums, creams and even medical procedures like collagen injection, skin resurfacing and laser. If one is afraid of going under the needle, the creams are a much safer (and cheaper) option. Choose one according to your needs and budget.

  1. Diet

You are what you eat. 821234_zerzevat

Good skin can also be a result of a proper diet. Include a serving of vegetables for every meal, especially the green leafy ones. Include the fruits as well. When the skin gets its nutrition, it aids the process of cellular repair, minimizing the damage from the sun or other environmental factors.

Drink plenty of water; at least 8 glasses of water a day. The water helps to keep the body (and skin) hydrated, as well as reducing the amount of toxins that stays in the body.

  1. Lifestyle

Relax! Avoid stress and tension as they may increase fine lines and wrinkles. Exercising can be a great way to relax, and improve blood circulation.

For the smoking ladies, this may be a good reason to quit! Smoking has been shown to speed up the aging of the skin. If you want good skin, think twice before you light up!

A little bit can go a long way in achieving better skin health. Start today and persevere with your efforts!

LifeCell: Two Good Looking Ingredients in LifeCell.

627324_pill_reflectionWho can forget the ever-important Vitamin C? Now we all know that Vitamin C, when taken orally frequently, can help boost our immunity, keeping our bodies healthy.

So what role does Vitamin C play in skincare?

A huge one in fact, as studies have shown that topical application of Vitamin C is a potential skin remedy with many benefits.

Firstly, Vitamin C is an effective anti-oxidant, and helps prevent damage of the skin due to free radicals. When applied topically, Vitamin C stimulates synthesis of collagen (connective tissue on the lower layers of our skin which helps give our skin strength and elasticity). It also helps to regulate production of melanin (that causes dark spots on the face), so that skin tone evens out.

In LifeCellskin formula, Vitamin C has been combined with palmitic acid, forming what we call Ascorbyl Palmitate. This substance is stable and non-irritating to the skin, so it is much more effective than Vitamin C only, without any possible harmful effects.

The next ingredient we will focus on is DMAE. In Europe, the product name Deanol has been used for DMAE for more than three decades. In the market, Deanol is available as a dietary supplement to enhance cognitive functioning, as well as reducing fatigue and depression.

In anti-ageing treatments, Deanol is thought to help in the stimulation of acetylcholine, a chemical in our bodies involved in muscle contraction. Higher levels of acetylcholine in our bodies translate to firmer muscle tone and hence firm (and not saggy) skin.

There have been studies showing that subjects who applied Deanol topically on the face showed significant improvement in their skin appearance and the reduction of forehead-frown lines. An animal study has shown that Deanol contains no toxicity and is non-allergenic to the skin.

Deanol is incorporated in a few other anti-ageing products, and of course in LifeCellskin too!

We have looked at the two of the many active ingredients in the LifeCell treatment, namely Vitamin C and Deanol. Both of them have been widely used in other anti-ageing products, as their benefits have been reported of in studies and research.

Trust the science, won’t you?

  • Age spots and pigmentation
  • Under-eye dark circles
  • Puffiness
  • “Feather” lips…. the list can go on!

LifeCell boasts a whole list of benefits, which might just be the answer to all the problems above.

  1. Moisturize

The face feels softer to the touch, especially with intense moisture and nutrients penetrating the layers of skin cells. No more dry and rough skin.

The all-in-one treatment is so gentle it is suitable for the delicate eye area too, helping to restore the balance of moisture and remove puffiness.

  1. Firms and Lifts

The powerful ingredients in LifeCellskin formula stimulate collagen production, helping to smooth out the fine lines and wrinkles.

On top of that, microlifters in the treatment cream help form a network to tighten and firm up the skin, improving the appearance of saggy skin.

  1. Plumps up

Not only does the treatment works on the face, it also works on the lips to smooth the fine “feather” lines around the lips and makes the lips appear fuller. Get the pout?

  1. Lightens

LifeCellskin helps to reduce the appearance of pigmentations and discolorations of the skin. With continued use, these imperfections fade, including the dark circles under the eyes, so an even skin tone is achievable!

No, we do NOT need to play peek-a-boo with our age (and the signs) anymore.
